The Senior IT Business Analyst – Omnichannel has an exceptionally solid understanding of e-commerce and Omnichannel, being able to conceptualize, recommend and analyze the strategic function of e-Commerce and Omnichannel for the Group. At all times the Senior IT Business Analyst - Omnichannel should embody a business-led mentality and be the link between the business and technology.

 

He or she is responsible for discovering, synthesizing, and analyzing information from a variety of sources within the company, including tools, processes, documentation and stakeholders. The job holder will be in charge of eliciting the actual needs of stakeholders – which frequently involves investigating and clarifying their expressed desires – in order to determine underlying issues and causes.

 

The Senior IT Business Analyst – Omnichannel plays a role in aligning the designed and delivered solutions with the needs of stakeholders. The activities that the Senior IT Business Analyst - Omnichannel performs include:

·        Understanding enterprise problems and goals,

·        Analyzing needs and solutions,

·        Devising strategies,

·        Driving change, and

·        Facilitating stakeholder collaboration.

 

Furthermore, he or she will be responsible for enabling, guiding and defining processes in the e-Commerce and Omnichannel domain, with special focus on technology related initiatives. The job holder will play a key role in conceptualizing technologies and business processes to benefit Brand and the consumer experience in Chalhoub Group stores across the GCC.

 

The Senior IT Business Analyst - Omnichannel will formulate and define the business and system requirements for new IT projects and system enhancements to meet company needs. The job holder will coordinate a team of internal and external developers, consultants, specialists, business partners, to create a system design and implementation plan, then follow up to ensure that the implementation is as per the business needs and timeline. The Analyst also maintains and revises existing system logic and documentation.

 

What you’ll be doing:

Business Analysis and System Design:

·        Fully understand the business functions being supported – Omnichannel and e-Commerce

·        Manage the e-Commerce and Omnichannel strategy with key business stakeholders

·        Lead scoping, planning, and sequencing of technology investments

·        In-depth analysis of all e-Commerce and Omnichannel technologies and vendors to optimize its practice and effectiveness in the business

·        Be the key point of accountability for all delivery of technology investments in e-Commerce and Omnichannel

·        Enthusiastic business partner, engaging directly with business at the point of technology ideation

·        Produces enriched business requirements and documents needed for technology delivery

·        Possess very strong senior stakeholder management skills, with sound ability to handle conflicts and pressure

·        Act as Product Owner for Omnichannel solutions

·        Translate requirements into new information technology project specifications

·        Prepare assigned functional documents including Blueprint, Functional Designs, Process Workbooks and Configuration documents, and ensure on-going maintenance of those documents throughout the project cycle

·        Review, analyze, and document existing systems and procedures

·        Plan, implement, test and troubleshoot enhancements of current Omnichannel software solutions or new software systems

·        Identify opportunities for improvement via detailed analysis and understanding of overall business and systems structure, whilst maintaining the integrity of a single ‘Group’ solution

·        Ability to build effective business cases, quantitatively linking technical enhancements to business benefits

·        Communicate effectively with peers, managers, internal customers, vendors, consultants, and teammates

 

Users Support and Documentation:

·        Train users to work with computer systems and programs

·        Support users during post go live phase, and ensure the transition to operations team

·        Participate in relevant projects and community activities as and when needed

 

What a successful person will look like:

·        A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Retail, Wholesale or Distribution of consumer goods

·        A minimum of 5 years’ experience with Omnichannel Retail Fulfilment Operations

·        Implementation experience in e-Commerce/Omnichannel solutions, ideally with exposure and onsite presence during Rollout phases

·        Experience with Oracle Retail applications (Preferable)

·        Experience on designing and documenting the integration of external applications with Oracle ERP (Preferable)

·        Familiar with Agile/SCRUM (Preferable)

·        Familiar with Business Process Design & Engineering

·        Education: University degree in computer science, business management or related fields

·        Critical thinking and analytical skills

·        Good interpersonal and communication skills

·        Proactive, responsible and attentive to detail

·        Fluency in written and spoken English
