Regional Merchandise Manager

What are we looking for: Regional Mechandise Manager

 

As a Regional Merchandise Manager you will be responsible for setting the regional merchandising strategy, goals and objectives and commercial targets in alignment with the Division’s strategic direction for the short and long term and within the Brands’ guidelines.

 

In addition, You will be responsible for the full life cycle of stock from what stock to buy, to where it should be allocated and to how it should be sold or disposed of, as well as managing the logistics of this cycle to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness.

It is important that you will enable the regional business to achieve results through leading the merchandise teams to follow best practice and find the optimal management of the Division’s stock.

 

Main accountabilities:

 

  • Set accurate gross margin and sell-thru targets
  • Take the lead on optimising Category management, Assortment planning & Catalogue management
  • Set the purchasing and ordering strategy and ensure it is managed effectively
  • Ensure inventory management and stock liquidation is fully optimised
  • Ensure pricing is accurately represented
  • Establish & manage an efficiently balanced logistics operation
  • Animate regional and local merchandise teams
  • Design reporting templates and reports

 

You will be great at this role if:

 

  • You have a University Degree in Business, Marketing or similar.
  • You have about 5-7 year experience in a similar role
  • You are familiar with Luxury Retail, ideally within the MENA region
  • You are approachable and able to connect to the Retail teams across the region
  • You have proven analytical skills and can crunch big amount of data to make sense of
  • You led a team before and you are a champion in motivating your people
