Department Manager - eCommerce OBI

We are looking for someone to ensure the accomplishment of the business’ eCommerce short and long term objectives. You will be responsible for maximizing profitability through traffic generation, conversion rates improvement, larger order size capturing and margins performance management.


What you'll do:


  • Develop the business plan of the eCommerce Department in line with the Division objectives and strategic objectives of the Group
  • Formulate and communicate Department performance objectives and continuously monitor progress and alignment towards strategic objectives



  • Provide improvements to the Department policies and procedures in order to ensure the fulfilment of organizational requirements
  • Oversee the operations of the Department, provide expertise, encourage teamwork and facilitate related professional work processes in order to achieve high performance standards and staff pride in contribution
  • Monitor the yearly budget of the Department and control expenditure to ensure optimal use


Leadership and Planning:

  • Own long-term and short-term strategy and objectives of the E-commerce business
  • Provide thought leadership and process improvement initiatives on SEO/SEM/PPC and digital marketing
  • Serve as key leader for all online marketing and related analytical efforts within the organization
  • Manage digital marketing tools including Social Media integration, Technical Infrastructure, SEO measurements and monitoring methodologies
  • Reflect the sales and marketing goals of the Division while owning the sales, inventory, profit and loss


Project Management:

  • Monitor the website’s technical structure, design & aesthetics, content, navigation, branding/marketing, performance, and functionality to positively impact the business
  • Specify technical changes to the development, creative and marketing teams
  • Ensure effective use of the allocated budgets while also showing creative ingenuity


Web Analytics Management:

  • Analyze web metrics and make recommendations to improve website performance including new ways to drive website traffic and revenue opportunities.
  • Compile and analyze search data and metrics to make decisions regarding business strategy.
  • Perform click through rate, conversion, spend and creative analysis to identify growth/optimization opportunities
  • Use market research, customer surveys, and web analytic data to understand customer needs, identify new opportunities, and define a product roadmap


Business Development/Relationship Management:

  • Lead the implementation of new business strategies and new partner relationships to increase the reach of the Brand online


People Management

  • Assign individual objectives for employee performance management purposes, manage performance, empower staff, and provide formal and informal feedback in order to support professional development and maximize performance
  • Ensure identification and proper development and recognition of Talents within team


What you need to succeed in this role:

We see success in the role as having a strong knowledge of the luxury consumer, the competitive landscape of the luxury industry, and an in-depth understanding of the evolving media and digital landscape in order to drive the brand vision regionally and globally, constantly elevating our ability to acquire new customers, retaining existing customers and continuing to drive sales in the luxury/lifestyle category through consumable content.

You have a University Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or any related field

You have a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience with at least 3 years in a similar role
