What we are looking for: Business Trade Analyst - Fashion

 

We are looking for a Business Trade Analyst who will report to the Middle-East General Manager and will support the business across a broad and varied range of tasks including statistical analysis. You will have a proven ability to effectively manage the tasks assigned for multiple areas across the business, whilst delivering in a timely manner on company projects

 

 

What you’ll do:

 

  • Provide in-depth analysis and reporting on daily/weekly/monthly basis by collecting and analysing all sales data and highlighting key messages.
  • Collaborate with the EMEI Business Trade Analyst to produce all bi-weekly and monthly Managers’ meeting trade pack, analysing all sales and stock data and suggesting relevant topical analysis to be included
  • Constant monitoring and reporting of stock positions: units, styles, stock levels, cross-boutique comparisons, delivery monitoring etc.
  • be the key local contact for the buyers, collecting all regional needs in terms of product (launches, typology of product, requests from customers)
  • True Retail Partner with a weekly presence in store, feeding back to HQ on qualitative trade comment & put forward recommendations & action plan
  • Support the store Managers by supplying relevant weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly reports to help them analyse their business and drive sales (including customer analysis – traffic, conversion, country of origin – team productivity, average transaction value, UPT…)
  • Run and analyse every aspect of best sellers (bestselling price points, colours, heel height or fabric)
  • Work closely with the Stores Managers and the Communication department to plan product launches to maximise sales and stock performances
  • Ensure that the existing customer's databases within the stores are continuously updated in an accurate and comprehensive manner
  • Support and assist on sale planning: liaising with the EMEI office on sale list, sale stock analysis, proposed consolidation and sales results reporting
  • Be in charge of planning and creating store visit reports for the ME GM, Head of Merchandising ahead of any store visits
  • Produce business reviews in collaboration with the Middle-East Finance Controller and EMEI Business Analyst
  • Complete regular competitors’ analysis: trend, calendar, markdown, launches, product prices (quarterly basis)
  • be able to support during sales & sample sale periods
  • Undertake any other duties as requested

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a buying or planner role within a fashion brand
  • Strong analytical abilities
  • Astute business and commercial acumen
  • Excellent knowledge of luxury brands
  • High proficiency in Excel
  • Strong communication skills
  • Accountability
  • Team-player
  • Passion for fashion luxury
  • Fluency in English (Arabic or French would be an advantage)
